Nida Water Intake

The project included fabricating, supplying, and erecting the intake bridge carrying the pipelines with a total length of 170 meter and total truss weight of 145 tons composed of build-up steel sections. The works included the driving of 140 piles filled with reinforced concrete having a diameter of 300 mm and a length of 16 m, 10 meters of which are under the river bed using rotating drilling method. The work also included excavation under water level (drudging), suction and removal of the excavation material away from the bridge location.
